Dr. Mudumbai just called. Seems I tested positive for Bartonella henselae, also known as “Cat Scratch Disease,” and that this is most likely the cause of my eye inflammation, which is not an infiltrative cause, but infectious. I’m off the steroids, and I’m going to an already scheduled appointment this Thursday with him to see what to do next.
I guess this shows us for picking up a stray kitten.
