Well, I know this is rather late, but Marry Christ­mas to every­one (I know, I know, I’m an athe­ist). I must admit I find it rather amus­ing that some­how “Happy Hol­i­days” is under fire from the reli­gious right, I don’t under­stand their rea­son for this either, so I’ve decided to just use “Mappy Holi­mas” as a nice compromise.

Speak­ing of Christ­mas, besides the 200mm f/4L I got a few weeks ago, I also received money to pur­chase a 50mm f/1.8 and replace­ment ear­buds for the ones I lost last sum­mer, and got other such assorted items. My next spend­ing tar­get, is money to sup­ple­ment the $250 my par­ents appro­pri­ated for com­puter equip­ment. Some of that will go to a new case (Mid-tower), but most will go to twin Sea­gate 300GB SATA dri­ves and a RAID con­troller card, so I’d have an extra 300GB of stor­age for backup pur­poses, and even if one drive goes bad (unlikely, they have 5 year warranty’s), the other will be mir­rored. For you tech nerds out there, I’m set­ting up RAID 1.

Also, I have a few things I’d like to say, if I may.

• First off, I went and saw The Pro­duc­ers with Katy tonight, and I just want to men­tion that yes, I did know Will Far­rell, I did think the Nazi looked famil­iar through­out the musi­cal, and yes, I did make the con­nec­tion dur­ing the end­ing number.
• Sec­ond off, I did wrap her present with sta­ples, mainly because that was the first seal­ing device I could find.
• And thirdly, I did get a 90’s troll that’s hold­ing a cam­era and sign that claims “In Soviet Rus­sia, trolls gift you!”
