Monthly Archive for December, 2004

I’ve been experimenting with Terragen, a landscaping program. I’ve made some 1024×768 full detail backgrounds. You can check them out here the root folder has jpg’s (with an imprint, and jpg’s are not very good for this type of stuff, but are rather compact), or the png folder has high quality PNG images. That’s pretty much it for now. Enjoy.

Welcome to nykida.net! This site will now be my personal webpage, and nssfis.com will go back it’s old, dark, somber, weird self.

Well, I registered nykida.net for my new personal domain. So that means that most likely that nssfis.com will go back to what it used to be. That is all for now.

I’m looking for a new domain for this site. nikky.net, and nikita.ru are both taken. I need some ideas. If you’ve a idea, feel free to send me some suggestions. I think you’ll agree nssfis.com is not very easy to remember.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Big updates.

  • I added the status bar. It’s a helpful thing if you want to catch me on IM.
  • Also, the links on the left margin are now generated using php/mySQL. This means that I just update the database, all of the margin’s change automatically. Alot better then me manually changing all of the code on each page.

And BTW, the status is also mySQL. Which means only the logo and the welcome section are not in a database. Major coolness.

“Pity is for the weak. This is what strength looks like.”

Yes, Nykida is a way cooler way of spelling Nikita. Because it’s matrixized. A long story about how I got this new nick, but I assure you, it’s staying.

But I was thinking, maybe keeping the site as it is right now, I really like the layout, it’s simple and functional. But on the todo list right now is to make the link area on a mySQL dBase, because right now I have to manually edit the code on each page when I update the link margin. :-/

So that will be relatively easy to do, over holiday break I’m sure it will get done.

Speaking of which, my I’m getting the person for secret santa a box of rocks monday, and clam juice / a broken modem on tuesday, plus other random stuff. :-)

Hmmmm, that Nykida in red, using css and the span tag doesn’t work in FireFox, but does in IE and Opera. Interesting.

Nothing to report, I’ve been busy writing essays that were due on a different day than I thought they were. :-/

Oh well Bold! Slanted!

I transferred the test mirror to my main domain now. Mainly because the php news script is working beautifully.
